? Dual Water Tanks Fill/Pump Questions

Dealer doesn't know and no response from Keystone (yet). (Aside, the more questions I ask the more I'm amazed at how little RVing knowledge resides at the dealership.)

Keystone Fuzion with dual fresh water tanks.

When filling, does one tank fill up first, then the 2d tank? Or do they both sort of fill together?

Same for when drawing water, does the pump take from one tank first and then the 2d? Or does the pump take from both at same time?

Another aside. How's this happen? Tried posting this few minutes ago, puter locked up. Restarted, didn't see the post so did it again. Went back to General page and there are both posts. ???

  • I have dual tanks on my Weekend Warrior. The gravity fill goes into the rear tank. The pump draws from the front tank. There is a 1 & 1/2" pipe equalizing the two tanks.

    What he said ^^^^^^^

    Tanks are connected
  • Hi,

  • I would think that if there is not a switch to activate a valve to regulate or isolate each tank, then they would be interconnected and have one inlet, and one outlet.
  • Humm, I would think the pump for sure would have to draw from both tanks equally. Otherwise when the first tank got empty the pump would suck air. I bet, the fill equally too. UNLess, there is a valve somewhere that you can throw to select one tank, the other, or both.
