_Private Messages

I had the problem, and contacted the webmaster. This was the reply:

"Our apologies for the inconvenience. The forums are being updated and these errors can sometimes come up. If it continues please let us know."

Haven't received a PM since that 4 Aug email, so I don't know if it's still a problem or not.

It's a USA - Canada thing.

Slowdown reportedly due to an increased threat level -to and by- RVers, as noted in numerous rants.

Authorities for the two countries have escalated checks of e-mail and "private" messages, resulting in transmission/reception delays.

Especially slow between Quebec and the USA, due to a shortage of French translators at the NSA.

Me, too.

In my case it's always at the "sign in" page. I've learned that if it doesn't go to the messages immediately after I click on "sign in", it's not going at all.

It's become routine to close the page and come in from a different "direction"- just bring up a new tab, click on the site, and go to P.M.'s from there. Works most of the time.

Caveat:

This is via Chrome browser/ Windows XP o.s.

No problem with PM's but I'm having a heck of a time logging on to rv.net the last three nights for some reason. Takes me almost 20 minutes to get on. Page keeps popping up saying webpage can't be displayed. :h

I have been having "Log On" problems also.

When I have trouble with the RV NET I will switch to another one of forums that has the same info. There are some five or six of the forums all linked together.

I went to Trailer Life Forum and it worked just fine...

Some good folks told me to get on through Woodalls as well.
