Not sure but market saturation may also be an issue.

Many companies have gotten big by market saturatration here is how it cycles.

There is a need for a new kind of Widget
So Widgets inc. sees the need. Designs and builds it and estimates the sales poetential.

But the sales are WAY WAY higher than expected So Widget builds more factories and crank's 'em out by the millions instead of the thousands.. Only the market hits saturatrion and now Widgets has no customers. so bankrupt.
  • We all need to quit buying until they start putting out more quality. Why do we accept the garbage they roll out? I would love to have a new trailer. It's not a matter of spending the money, but I refuse to start over fixing the problems they send out. For the most part I have a dependable trailer right now and I plan to keep it in that condition. If I see a substantial change in quality I may purchase again. Until then they can keep their overpriced junk.
  • Sales are higher than pre-recession levels. No end is in sight.
  • Sounds a bit like Chicken Little.

Every business is cyclical. Some just have longer or shorter cycles.

So what need to hope happens is that the economy falters and more people buy RV’s to live in full time. Somehow I find that to be a bad plan.
  • When the fad is over there will be a glut of used RVs on the market.
  • Did you noticed the RV Retail Value has gone up every year even though shipments were down in 2018 and 2019 compared to 2017?
When you track prices over the last 5+ years MSRP's have risen pretty fast IMO.
