Thanks for all of the replies everyone. I will look into all of the links and suggested solutions.
I don't know what use to be on the roof. It was ivory in color, mostly chalky, some areas came up like thick pieces of linoleum. It is definitely down to galvanized steel now.
It is my understanding that the trailer had essentially been sitting out in the sun since the late 70s. So, there is very little of the roof that wasn't baked off.
