We had taken I 70 through Colorado many times. One time we broke down in Grand Junction on the west side of Colorado. I asked a man at the garage if they had any interesting sites. He told us to go to Fruita, Colorado and go up on the Colorado Monument. I had never heard of it so we went to see what it was. Very neat and a beautiful drive.

Also if you want a really beautiful drive take 50 out of Grand Junction south to Montrose, out of Montrose take 550 south to Ouray and on down to Silverton, Colorado. This is called the million dollar highway.
