My battery states 232 AH so times 6...=1392 total.
Perhaps upgrading my converter ....??
Or just don't stay night in it till we can plug in and go with just the two 6's?
I just assumed that if 4 of these batteries could pump 4000 gals of water a day and perform well with just two solar panels that produce about 10 amps at peak time of day I could run the furnace all night and the truck would top it up while we drive.
As Piano said, putting two 6 v together doubles the voltage but doesn't double the amperage. Do you know what the voltage at the batteries is with your solar system? It may very well be more than 13.6 which your CONverter is very likely to be. Yes you could up grade to a converter that will do 14.4 or 14.8. It would help a lot. Nothing wrong with 6 batteries but they still have to be charged and it will just take 33% longer than 4 batteries. 4 may work for overnight but the issue is more about charging efficiency rather than just the number of batteries but I would run four 6 volts.
