Most of the units with the in line transformer, are the ones with smaller screen sizee.
While visiting places that sell LED and LCD televisions, check for units that have a transformer built in to the power cord. Check that transformer for output voltage. There are many (not all) of them that output 12 volt power to the television. I have two Insignia's that do. After buying the television, I went to Radio Shack and bought a 12 volt plug to fit the TV. I can use them on 120 volt, when plugged into shore power, or on 12 volt when boondocking. No need for an inverter.
Curtis makes a 24" LED with DVD, that has the 12 volt transformer.
We have a 12V Jensen DVD / radio that came in the TT. The brick power supply for the TV was 12V, 4A output on the data plate. I made a power plug / "M" connector power cord and plug it into the antenna power outlet. So now we can watch a DVD when dry camping.
I have an Insignia LED from Best Buy that is a 24" TV/DVD combo. Uses the brick and runs on 12v, in my case my existing 12v cord fit perfectly. If I remember right they make the same set in a 28". Best Buy puts these on sale fairly regularly and the best price can usually be gotten when they run them as the Deal Of The Day.
