2.5in to 2in Receiver Reducer
I recently purchased a new truck and discovered when installing the hitch that the receiver is 2.5in instead of 2in. Is it safe to tow a camper with a reducer sleeve or do I need to purchase a new hit...

To answer your original question, a reducer is fine.
If the truck is new off the lot, then it likely came with a reducer. I know Dodge/Ram puts them in various places in the truck depending on the configuration (i.e. crew cabs they usually put them in the floor bins) and I'm thinking other brands are similar.
