We are going to be leaving our TT on a site in Arcadia FL this summer for two months.I'm wondering what to leave on or off. We will be going up on weekends.I know I should leave the water off, and electric on for the fridge.Any pro's or cons to leaving the A/C on?I keep it stored at home and we use it mainly on long weekends, so I could use some advice, or tips.Thanks for any help you can give.

When I was living in mine during weekdays, I would do as you during the 3 day weekends; water off and elect on. I also left the gas on for 2yrs straight because I used it to cook, but the fridge could also fall back on that if needed (the power would die randomly for up to an hour at times where I was during the summer). I left the A/C off. I didn't see much point to running it for 3 days while I wasn't there (and having to pay the elect for it as well). It took about 30min to get comfortable temperatures when I arrived and turned it on. The only down side to not having it on was that the mattress was heat soaked, and since I arrived at the end of the day Sunday, the bed was still warm even though the interior temperature was fine. Made it a little hard to fall asleep for me.

Fridge on (auto), hot water heater off, water off, vents open, ac off.

The only thing I turn off is the water heater and the water or water pump depending on your connection. I leave the air on a a reasonable temp so the food we leave does not melt. (chocolate bars for smores etc.)

Put your tire covers on when you leave.

In addition to what to leave on or off I always spray around the 5er with a good bug spray Florida has a lot of bugs. Make sure you get ALL openings.

I just bought a Florida winter home.
I decided to stay thru the summer last year so the MH was parked during those god awful hot months.

I wondered the same thing.

All I did was open all the roof vents. Providing you have vent covers!:W

Hot air raises and if you leave all the vents open the hot air will go up thru them.

This is what I did thru the hot summer months and the MH was just find no musty smells, no mold. And that was for the 'whole' summer.

You will be go going up once a week so I sure would NOT run the AC.

If you think about it there a thousands of RV's sitting on dealership lots all locked up and nothing running and they don't spontaneously erupt into mold buckets.

Now if you have any leaks and it's locked up that's a different story.

Slides seem to seal better when OPEN.....less chances of critters gaining access while unattended. When closed there always seems to be an area that shows daylight (corner/across bottom)
Yes in a perfect world they should seal same open/closed

The 3 slides on my 2007 5vr have only been closed one day a week (travel days) for the past 8 yrs.

Slide seals are in great shape......treat them with baby powder.

As you know, it's hot and very humid here in Florida. The greater risk is leaving the AC off. I always leave ours on in the summer and a dehumidifier runs during the damp winters.

With the damp conditions I would leave the A/C on and set to 80 or 85.

When I go on vacation I leave the home thermostat set at 85.

I leave the windows open slightly and a big tub of damp rid on the counter.
The difference will be, I check it, or at least open the door for air flow every evening here at home.

Turn off water/secure hose
Turn off water heater
Leave AC power ON
Leave Fridge ON Auto with propane valved in .....in case power goes out
Leave A/C Unit ON set to 80*F due to TT being in Florida Summer temps
Leave Slides OPEN/Extended.
