2 stage furnace in Cody, Wy. update
This post is for those that were involved with a thread some months ago that included some info on two-stage Atwood furnace. I was intrigued, so contaced Atwood and they in turn put me onto a major distribution house and between one peron and another, I got all the needed information and parts numbers, right up to the knowledge that this required a specially designed Digital Thermostat that was sold as a 'kit' for this furnace.
I made contact with an RV shop in Cody, Wyoming and all the parts were ordered with install today, Sept 19th, in Cody.
Got it installed...fit right into the same hole and wiring harness was adjusted but it wouldn't fire up. Turns out the RV guy had not ordered the thermostat. Had never heard of the need to order it separately, although he and I had talked about it. I keep notes.
Tried for an hour to locate one with an afternoons delivery to Cody and nothing. I had to tell him sorry....take the new one out. Doesn't do me any good of I can get heat. I had paid an up-front 50% so that was reimbursed and I drove away. Too bad. I really thought that this was going to a good thing.
I will say too..if you are ever needing an RV repair and you are in or around Cody...Marty at Park County is sure a stand-up guy to deal with.
