2003 Saturn L-Series Base Plate problem with Blue Ox
I just bought a 2003 Saturn LW station wagon to flat tow, because it is lighter than the ENVOY I also have and tow.
I bought a BLUE OX base plate .. and found it to be a BIG JOB to install with taking out the radiator , A/C evaporator , hoses , transmission lines .. and MORE.
PLUS ... it was too wide to fit the inside of the frame , which Blue Ox already knows only works on one out of every 6 cars.
I did replace it with a DEMCO which was a VERY EASY INSTALL , and none of the above issues. A much better design. It also does hook up very well to the Blue Ox tow bar.
Not that there is a big surge on 2003 Saturns out there ... BUT ... this might just help SOMEONE !
