2007 Chevy 2500HD Crew mileage

Hi every one.

I just completed a 567 mile round trip and the mileage was around 7.4 mpg.

Empty around town or highway, im seeing 11 mpg.

I'm starting to wonder if new plugs and wires are in order... I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm in drastic need of a tune up.

Does anyone wish to share there chevy 2500 mileage numbers?

    My 04 CC 4.10 rear gets around 8 towing and between 12.5 to 13.5 empty. 6 liter gasser gets the job done but is thirsty.

    Oh, in answer to your question, we have an 03 Silverado, 2500 HD, Duramax diesel/Allison, crew cab and get around 12 mpg towing a 14,500# 5th wheel and 21-22 solo. Understand the 07's and above don't get that good of mileage solo.
