2007 Vintage Jeep Liberty Towing 4 Down
When towing a 07 Jeep Liberty Automatic Transmission (in Park) and Transfer Case in Neutral does the rear drive shaft rotate and there for add unregistered miles to the rear drive shaft universals?

Yes, everything turns. It isn't hard miles like driving because there is a lot less stress on the parts, but yes, there will be unregistered miles.
OP here. I say vintage because I own a 96 Jeep Cherokee AUTO 4WD and I know exactly how it tows 4 down.
Problem is I have a friend with a 2007 (there about) Liberty who is insisting his mechanic told him that the towing miles HAD no effect of wearing out his rear universal joint with 36,000 on the odometer.
