Got the camper home today!
Have one quick question-if I let the slides all the way in they cover the heater vents in the floor. It's going below freezing tonight and I want to leave the furnace on with the slides in-I can let the slides in where they stick out about a foot and they don't cover the vents. Is it ok to leave the slides partially out for a period of time?
A few do's and don'ts.
The slide is either full in or full out if you are leaving it for hours on end and over night. The water seals only work full in or full out.
Heat ducts, the furnace has an over heat shutdown on it. It has to pump enough air over the heat chamber to cool it when it is running. If the heat chamber gets too hot is shuts off the gas valve. This is true for an Atwood Hydrotherm. A Suburban will have something very similar. If you block enough ducts so that it cannot cool the heat chamber, that is not a good thing to do. Is there a reason you cannot put the slide out? Don't know the situation you are in.
Hope this helps
