Do the L brackets create the WD bar to be somewhat parallel to the frame? If the bars are up hill to get the weight transfer, better to tilt the hitch head and have good parallel WD bars.
Yes the bars will bend, they should also be laying flat on the L bracket when TV and TT are straight ahead. If they are bending uphill to the L bracket, then lower the L bracket to be flat to the WD bars and tilt the head back towards the TT.
Some day soon, we need to get an actual loaded tongue weight to help sort out if the camper is balanced out correct.
