All too true! That is why my current vehicles will not be replaced anytime soon. Besides, soon my 2006 will be 11 years old, and I can put PERMANENT registration on it, and NEVER have to renew the license plates!
The truck and the motorhome already are so licensed!

Shows that front wheel drive can be towed as a dinghy, all 4 down or on a dolly.

Also

NOT on a dolly from my reading for AWD. Flat or four off the ground OK.

Ummmm...Honda CR-V?...up until very recent models. :)

Is this new for 2016, or have they been flat-towable in previous models?

And as much as I hate to say it, $40 grand for a new car isn't that uncommon anymore. :( Which is why we will be driving our current vehicles (2001 & 2003) for quite a long time! :) In fact, by the time we're ready to replace one of them, that 2016 will probably be 10 years old. :)

ANY vehicle, up to the size/weight limits of the trailer or towing vehicle, can be towed on a trailer.
I'm with Ivy, you will never see one in my driveway.
Even if I had that kind of money, it would be a nicely equipped 2006 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited or a Dodge Ram 1500, or maybe a DP, sitting there, not a Buick.

Sorry but at $40,000 for a nicely equipped one, I'll have to pass.
