Just because your fridge and/or water heater have a flame going all the time, doesn't mean you're using the full BTUs all the time. Often, all you're using is enough to keep the pilot light going. That's minimal propane usage.
If you really want to know, get yourself one of those magnetic level readers. Measure the tank, do a trial run for a weekend, then measure again. Now you'll know how much you use for a couple days - multiply this out to determine how long you can go before worrying.
