- lfcjaspExplorerRight now while we're still working, Fri, Sat & Sun. Also we do have a Thousand Trails membership, so it's "First come, first serve" on the sites...yes we a reservation, but not for a particular nice site...just pick an empty site and good luck. This past weekend we didn't arrive for our Thursday nite (DH was worried about Andrew) check-in, so when we arrived on Friday, we had to spend some time searching for a site...thank God we found a nice shady site, not too far from the pool or fishing pier. Same scenario as arriving on a Saturday morning I suppose...so it's Friday through Sunday for now. A year or so from here, it won't matter...come on, retirement!
- charlessfollyExplorerWe used to pack up Thursday night, work Friday and head out from work to catch the ferry to the island. We would camp partway on Friday night near Parksville, then Saturday morning head up the exciting twisty road to Long Beach.
The drive back on Monday was leisurely and included more stops. The kids had a chance to get lots of breaks from driving and we'd get lots of family time. - fasteddieExplorerI used to work 3rd shift and had to work fri nights so I did a lot of sat-mon trips, I would say I much preferred them. I liked them because it felt like I had more time to camp, I could leave sat morning and arrive at or before check in and have most of the day to enjoy, now on days when I get away for a regular fri-sun w/e I'm lucky to get to the campsite and be completely set up by 7:00-8:00 only leaving a couple of hours left of the day to enjoy, and like others have already said the crowds mostly disappear Sunday afternoon.
- Sportsman2505qsExplorerMy vote is for Friday-Sunday except for Monday Holidays. I guess I'm different. I love the excitement and people at the campground.
- FizzExplorerI never took fridays off, always mondays.
Friday was the best day of the week, everybody's in a good mood, relaxed. Boss usually took fridays off or had an extra long lunch hour.
Like Garfield says. "Monday the 13th is the worst day of all" - miloExplorer IIWe go in Monday after all of you leave and then we let you have it back on Thursday or Friday. Ain't life great .... Choices.....choices ....choices

If going to first come first serve parks then arriving late Thursday or very early Friday will give you the best chance for a good site, or any site at all, at a popular park.
If I can get reservations then I prefer Sat arrival as people begin leaving Sun morning and you get a little more quiet time Sun afternoon and on Mon.
This is pretty close to my thoughts. - 2012ColemanExplorer IISaturday - Monday - everyone has left, and I can spend as much time at the dump station as needed. Since everyone is at work on Mondaym traffic is light.
