- CroweExplorerSaturday - Monday for traffic reasons. There were numerous occasions when a weekend's worth of relaxation was wiped out during the drive home due to traffic.
- mgirardoExplorerSaturday - Monday has my vote too. We usually don't like camping just the weekends, but if we do, we definitely try to leave on Monday.

I never cared what days I got off as long as they were consecutive.
Mondays off used to mean all the museums were closed. Tuesdays off meant the museums were opened and not crowded. Fridays off meant I'd start a vac on Thursday nights and returned home early Sunday morns which beat the traffic patterns.
I'm easy. - RoyBExplorer IIX2 on SAT - Mon.. Most everyone leaves Sunday at NOON and then the camp ground is all yours after that... (Including their extra firewoood hehe)
Most of the time we usually do the Thursday Night thru Monday Night and leave on Tuesday at Noon for our so called close-by favorite camping sites.
Roy Ken - BB_TXNomadIf going to first come first serve parks then arriving late Thursday or very early Friday will give you the best chance for a good site, or any site at all, at a popular park.
If I can get reservations then I prefer Sat arrival as people begin leaving Sun morning and you get a little more quiet time Sun afternoon and on Mon. - trailerbikecampExplorerFor us it doesn't matter. My schedule gives me almost a week off every second weekend. DW also has 4 days off every weekend so we can have 4 day weekend very second weekend.
But I would prefer Sat-Mon for the reasons above. - Camp__Forrest__ExplorerI prefer Sat-Mon. You have less traffic Monday than Sunday for the trip home.
