30 amp surge protector suggestions?

Just brought home our new TT. Dh didnt want one for old TT and i couldnt get him to budge but will for this one. Know nothing about them. Dont want to break the bank but want it to do the job. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    The "other" brand is made offshore and is a throw-away if it fails.
  • The plug in unit that Bamcote posted the link to is the easiest one to install. I have the 50A version of the one cbshoestring linked tpo. the only difficult part of installing it was sourcing the SOOW cable to run between the surge protector and the transfer switch in my coach.
  • When you say easy for a diy is it really easy. Dh knows some elctrical stuff but not much in a trailer. To what is it installed in the trailer? This looks good and easy to use once installed.

  • THIS is what I installed. Very happy with it. Great reviews, easy to install for the average DIYer. A bit pricey, but I thought the protection was worth it. Protects for low/high voltage, as well as loose ground, reverse polarity, etc...
