And to the OP I agree with Dedmiston so long as it is down hill does not matter if it's 5-10-20-30-50 feet SO LONG AS YOU HAVE ENOUGH HOSE.
I have about 50' of 3" (Multiple sections) and then the macerator with 50' of 3/4 " and yes I've found a need for all of it.
