30 foot run of sewer hose--downhill?

Looks like my closest dump location (into a sewer cleanout) at home is going to be about 30 feet horizontally and about 4-5 feet (luckily) downhill from the RV.

Is it feasible to run that much Rhino hose, or similar hose, that far? Would I be better off with some sort of rigid pipe that can be disassembled for storage?

I really don't want to buy a macerator pump, and doesn't seem it would be necessary.

  • Before I made changes to the property, I used 3” PVC. Now I use cheap hose from Walmart if I dump on the way in, or a macerater if parked in the garage. Storage of the temporary hose or pipes should be considered.
  • You'll be fine. It literally flows downhill.

We have a very long triple axle fiver and I've had to link hoses together for longer, flatter runs than that. Everything ended up down the dump hole where it belonged.

    You're good.

All you can do is try. IMO it should be alright. But then I like rope burns...Quoting the "Unknown Comic" on the Gong Show.
