30" Scissor Jacks

I am planning on replacing the stabilizer jacks on my 10 year old Jayflight as the ones on there are getting tired. I've been debating whether to just replace with another set of 24" jacks or to go with 30" jacks since I find that, at some places where we camp, I need to use quite a few blocks of wood to ensue solid contact by the jacks. What has me hesitating is the fact that the 30" jacks are about 6 inches wider when retracted and I'm concerned with having them stick too far out when in transit or storage. I guess I could install them at an angle to address this but I'd rather not.

Anyone have any experience with the 30" jacks that they'd card to share?

  • Check with E Trailer (etrailer.com). Good prices and they are excellent and replying to questions.
  • I just installed Husky 28 in 6500 lb stabilizers on my FW. They are 32 in collapsed. Mine fit without protruding past the edge. I was using wood blocks under the stabilizers because of the axle flip and it was a pain.
