I have used 303 Aerospace Protectant for the decals on our TT for several years now. I just treated the decals again with 303. I noticed that the smooth white fiberglass finish is dulled and I need to polish or treat it again. The places on the smooth fiberglass outside the decals where I got some 303 on it look great now, so I am considering whether to just use 303 on the entire finish of our TT. Or to use wipe on and off car polish (I have used NuFinish Liquid Car Polish in the past). I did just now email the manufacturer of the 303 and ask them if it was a good product for the entire finish, so I'm waiting to hear back from them. In the meantime, I thought I would ask on here for recommendations from fellow RV'ers.

303 or any spray ones are a 30 minute fix. For longer term you need a good polish. Nufunish, McGuire's RV marine in the blue bottles are pretty good. I prefer Collinite myself

Between the two products in OP, Nu Finish is far superior to 303, for use on the smooth fiberglass. While the 303 will give a temporary shine, it will be gone very quickly, just using a damp cloth, followed by a dry microfiber towel. I do use the 303 on my decals, which helps, but will not save them from the sun indefinitely.Jerry

I have been using 303 since 1993 on all our vehicles, including our boat, and am very pleased. It will not restore the finish, but after removing the oxidation it will help protect it from UV damage and maintain the shine. Very few waxes, if any, offer any UV protection, 303 does (SPF 40).One advantage of 303 is there is no need to remove prior coat, Wax cleaner) before applying the next.

I found that Nu Finish gives a minimal shine, and poor lasting. I used Red Max Pro 6-8 years ago and it is just now beginning to turn and wear off in places. Still looks better than it did with a wax. Removing it is a lot of work though. I had to take it off of the front cap. Not fun.Mike

I found the stripper for poli glow is very good with no decal damage.

Thanks to all who responded. Much appreciated! FYI, I heard back from the manufacturer of 303 Aerospace Protectant, and was advised that the product would be fine for the smooth gel-coat of RV exteriors.

I'm so happy with how the finish looks after using 303 on it, that I have already done half of the TT, and will finish the other half in the next few days. Any wax, polish, protectant I might apply will weather off, the question is how long any of the products will last. So only time will tell how the 303 lasts!

I use Nufinish and find it lasts for a complete season. It goes over decals as well.

First buffing and restoring the finish, I sprayed the rubber roof with 303.. Some got on to the side fiberglass finish, and I noted it wiped off clean and left a shiny finish.. I then when ahead and treated the entire outside, and then went to my GMC pickup and treated all the plastic exterior and interior parts.

While I do NOT expect it to last as long as normal RV wax, but it's so easy I can see me doing it 4 times a year.

Go to China Mart and buy Meguiars Cleaner Wax. Maroon bottle. It's liquid and goes on easy. It will lift the dullness off the surface, and bring back the shine. I have used it on 5 motorhomes and now my 5th wheel. Works great!
