I removed all the decals from the front of my 5er. Most were so brittle and cracked they were very difficult to remove with heat gun and scraper. Gave up and bought a 3M eraser wheel and it worked great. A lot of the adhesive balls up and comes off with the pieces of decal. Final cleanup is pretty easy with 3M adhesive remover. As noted above, it does require a good drill.
