Well as you can see it is not simply about watts & price. There is that little issue of noise & neighbours.
While you might be nice & cool inside windows closed AC humming you won't be hearing a thing from your genny. Meanwhile your not so distant neighbours will be steaming listening to the drone of your genny.
Sure, some of them might have gennys too, but most go dry camping for the peace & quiet only using gennys for short periods for cooking & battery charging. If they wanted AC they would have gone to a CG with power.
Buying that high powered screamer cheap may seem like a good idea at first but do you want to be the guy in the CG who nobody wants to talk to?
