5-gallon(ish) water jug with separate fill hole?

Hello folks --

I can't believe I cannot find what I am looking for anywhere, and I am hoping y'all can help me out :).

I can't lift a 5 gallon plastic container of water anymore, and hope to avoid installing a tank in my conversion project. Is there a container on the market that I can install semi-permanently (I can make a custom bracket if needed), with the spout at the bottom, and refill from the top with a hose?

This doesn't seem like an unusual need, but I see NOTHING at Camping World, Amazon, Cabela's, Walmart, etc. -- except for insulated beverage coolers, which are ridiculously expensive when I do not need insulation.

Anybody have a suggestion? Collapsible would be even better... :).

  • I think you could add one of these to one of those collapsible five gallon water containers. I have one much like it on my gravity-feed system and it doesn't leak a drop. The container's collapsibility would allow you to get your fingers down to the bottom of the inside of the container to screw on the inside part of the spigot. Then just use the top original opening to fill.

The right sized hole in the jug and a couple of silicone gaskets...could work! And for less than twenty bucks...
