After spending so much time looking for the perfect RV, we came pretty close to what we really need as a family. We decided on a travel trailer that required a fairly extensive repairs (roof, walls, floor, etc.). Below are some of the things we love about our trailer.1. The bunk house: This room is amazing!!! It has 4 bunks and 4 wardrobe cabinets to go along with it. This has worked perfectly for our 4 kids and we wouldn't change a thing about it.2. The slide: Because of our driveway we're limited to a 25-26' trailer. Without having our bed in this slide out I don't think we'd be able to make a trailer of this length work for 6 people comfortably.3. The awning: This is nothing unique to our trailer, but when repairing our trailer I considered leaving the awning off. I'm VERY glad I reinstalled the awning as it creates much more usable outdoor living space. I can't imagine not having the awning at this point.4. The height: When we first purchased the trailer I needed to drag it up the driveway on the bumper. I considered installing skid wheels, but then decided to lift the trailer. I installed the Dexter Axle Flip kit on both axles which have us an additional 6.5" of clearance. We now just clear the bumper by about an inch or so, but still need to remove the rear stabilizers and the tongue jack each time. I would like to install quick release adapters for both the stabilizers and tongue jack to speed up setup.5. The memories: Everything from the experience repairing the trailer to all of the fun we have camping in it together. It's all created great memories for the whole family and we're just getting started.What do you love about your RV?

Great post. Ours fits our camping needs perfectly and while not huge, it does everything we need with sufficient room. It also fits into smaller spots that bigger trailers can't use. (Not to mention my truck pulls it effortlessly)It's easy to heat with just one space heater or the furnace. This is very evident when boon-docking.It's very comfortable and has great TV viewing angle and a great flip up table next to the couch so my son can play his video games there.I like the fridge being right next to the door. Beverages are handy without having to traipse through the rig.The kitchen is very functional and actually has some counter space.The axles and brakes are over sized for a rig this size. I have nearly 2 tons of CCC. The whole trailer was well built (never leaked) and has held up well.It still looks like new thanks to much waxing and some repainting.Then there's certainly the memories in it for us too. Ten years of family trips from local state parks to Disneyland and beyond.

14 years old, paid cash for it. Don't worry about drilling a hole here or there or dragging a branch on it. We take care of it but dont cringe each time it's chipped or damaged.Being older it seems to be of heavy construction.14 foot slide, dont step on each others toes.Love putting the 9x18 awning mat out as it's like an outdoor living room.Rear kitchen has furnace under the refrigerator so it's quiet in the bedroom.Plenty of space on living room wall for 42" LED TV, not like some with the little box like opening.4- Six volt batteries.Remote start Honda 3000, wife starts it as needed without special instructions.High clearance for off road.And most of all.....pulling it with a Cummins.

The best thing we like is that in 8 years we have not seen one that we like better. Nothing worth trading or selling for.

I bought a used GBM Class A MH 10 years ago to learn about MH's and see if I liked it. My plan was to keep it 3 years then buy a newer one once I figured out what I wanted and liked in a MH. After many mods and repairs there are some things I like and some I don't. I like the size 33 ft it fits in all the CGs that I like to go to NFS,NP,SP,COE in that order. Has one slide 2 AC's 50 amps service, large basement storage, 2 pass tru bay storage, 7 days of battery power without recharging and 7 days of FW. High HP to Wt ratio beats most DPs up a hill, 8.7 mpg over 100,000 miles of travel, 40 mph to 60 mph in 12 sec, easy dump system(just pull hose out dump and push back in),drives with one hand like a car and economical to maintain now that I have owned it for awhile. Secondarily its payed for and I no longer worry about tree branches, or other minor scrapes or damages like I would if it was new so I go to a lot of remote sites and have learned to just fix things as they break. Still looking for one I like better based on the way I travel and camp but have not found it yet, If anyone knows please post.

that's where we are now. Banana Boat II is starting to nickel and dime us so we've been looking. we usually go to the local RV show every year to "look" but now we're actually looking. we've seen one model...Itasca Suncruiser 38Q...that we actually do like. going to the RV shows in Chicago in January and February to look some more.

Ours is a perfect fit for us. I love the bunkhouse which gives our son a room of his own and additional storage for us. I love that I have satellite TV in the master bedroom, bunkhouse, living area and outside under the awning. I love that it has 4,000lbs CCC. I love the large stainless steel extra-deep single-bowl kitchen sink. And, I love the huge amount of storage space. There's lots more I love about it and only a few things I don't like about it.

It would be hard to find another travel trailer that suits our needs as well as ours does.

The thing that we love the most is generally the people that are involved in this hobby/lifestyle.
99% of them are helpful, patient, Godfearing folks that are polite, have neat families, kids, and pets.
We have only been involved for a couple of years, and perhaps I am too naive, surely will encounter a few losers out there, but like all things in life, thats the minority, and they keep doing the same goofy things over and over.

We have a small (24 foot) Class C with no slides, but on the rugged Ford E450 chassis, so:

1) It never overheats in any conditions.

2) We can carry anything we want weight-wise, in addition to having all tanks full with no effect we can feel on how it handles, or stops, or accelerates.

3) Since it's small, it can be heated and cooled fast and efficiently for good drycamping in just about any weather.

4) It's small enough to take into towns shopping and small enough to fit into the older, intimate, and beautiful state/county parks - even into tent sites.

5) It's 29 gallon grey water tank, 39 gallon black water tank, 45 gallon fresh water tank, 18 gallon propane tank, and 55 gallon fuel tank make for many days of drycamping for two people and make for long travel distances between fuel stops.

We love the fact that we can tow the boat without tandem towing.

It fits everything necessary for out trips AND still has room for more!

It has a wall closet in the cabover and a pantry in the kitchen.

It has a spacious bathroom/shower.

All this in a truck camper!

All I know is all I was looking for weeks to find a small TT to buy.

Then one day I went to look at a horse that was for sale and when
I pulled in the driveway there sat a 31 ft MH for sale.

I didn't buy the horse but did buy the MH!

I stopped to fuel it up after I bought it and got out and walked and walked and walked which seemed forever to the back end to the gas tank. I thought OH MY GOD what have I done? I just bought the Queen Mary. :S

I love every foot of her now. Big open floor plan split bath, big glass corner shower. She's been good to me no real major repairs.
