That's one heck of a day.
He did say NOT TOWING, which can easily bump up range by 25-30% as you can run faster and stop for gas less...plus it's less tiring not towing. Did similar back in highschool for spring break Michigan to Daytona Beach in one shot.
We just finished an 8900 mile trip, Only took around 7-8 months. We did do a 420 mile day but that was to get clear of the fiasco during the Texas power outage.
