I'm in the same boat; My wife and I are over 50 but we will always have an adult disabled (well under 50) son with us and cant use those places.
The reason I posted the question is because rather than calling the many individual resorts, I figured I'd ask to fine folks here. As I said it in my original post Del Webb communities allows grandparents for instance, to have their grandchildren stay with them for a short while (less than months).
I've also seen postings on forums stating that some places allow kids actually. So I figured I would ask here. I wouldn't bring the kids to a resort if the residents were of the harumph harumph, get off my lawn types.
I have to wonder if there aren't a lot more folks like us; those with either our own kids or grand parents that are raising for their own kids. Or even aging parents with disabled younger children (autism is at an alarming rate...).
We're all looking for someplace we winter or just spend an extended amount of time.
There has to be a market there.
