5th wheel rail based hitch rattle
for those of you who use a rail based hitch, how do you take of the slack between the hitch head and the rails.. its tiny, but its there. I expect the hitch to rattle, but maybe with 2800lbs on it, ...

I'm surprised your Patriot rattles! My Reese was a rattle trap but when I went to a Patriot, in the same rails, I have to just about pound it to get it in. You might try removing the hitch from the rails then loosen the rail nuts slightly, then hit the rails "away" from each other and re-tighten the nuts.
