6.6 duramax vs 6.0 powertroke
looking to buy a '06.5 Chevy 6.6 duramax or '06 Ford 6.0 powerstroke. Seems I get a little more pazzaz with the Ford. Which one has better reputation for reliability?

All BS. I had a 6.0 and put 140k on it and no problems what so ever.
Your taking it personally T10. There's no need to, many people bought them and there was nothing to make them believe they were problematic. I considered one in 03.
I'm sure the majority never had a problem but the percentage of failures is/was horrendous. Far, far higher than that of all the competition combined several times over.
Just because some were ok doesn't negate the terribly high failure rate and make this engine a good choice.
And 140K is nothing really.
