I was just blessed with a 2019 F250 Lariat with the 6.7l diesel. Never owned a diesel before. Planning a summer trip from New Orleans area to Atlanta area. I was curious what kind of gas mileage should I expect towing. I guess I am used to gas engines, where I have to plan my fuel stops carefully with at 35ft trailer.
Bayou Boys! Seeing your user name makes me want to dig out my Eddie Raven music. Then we’d have to move on to Doug and Rusty! :B
But to attempt to answer your question. Most of the diesels get comparable fuel mileage. With our 6.7 Ram (manual trans), towing a 20+K 5th wheel, we get around 9.5+ on an extended trip. Obviously, it is dependent upon your driving practices.... easy, slow acceleration, coasting to stops, keeping you speed @ 65 or a little under, will all help. Driving in traffic, pretty much negates all of the above suggestions! Enjoy your new truck, and your travels! :)
