Retirement is just around the corner. I have officially 7 more work days left. Hope to get things organized in the next couple of months and then off we go. I'm excited and anxious to start our new life. Dan

Retirement is GREAT! I keep telling myself if I had known that it was this good I would of done it sooner. I am new at retirement, it's only been nine months, but it is good to go when ever you want. It took me a while to adjust, but it is great being on vacation all of the time. JMT

BTP01 said it very well. We are watching deer out our window right now and last week we were at DFW. Just go when you want and the where will take care of itself.

Well you should be retired now!!! Congratulations!!! Enjoy every minute to the fullest as we have been doing for the past three years. Once you get in the swing of it you will never look back. Have a blast as you deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I retired at age 57 9 yrs ago, six months after I had a heart attack. My Dad passed away from a heart attack just after he turned 57 in 1982. His dream was to retire with Mom and travel to see America. His not getting to live his dream has given me great incentive when I plan our major trips in the MH. I know the places he wanted to go and so far I've been to every state except Hawaii to see those places he never got to visit. Currently planning our next major trip for 2014 to the next place. I wish he was going with us. Enjoy your retirement and do what YOU want to do every minute. I wish you great health and happy trails. :B

I retired in '98 at the age of 52. So in reality, I quit. Do I miss the work? No. I've substituted what I like to do for what they liked for me to do. Bored? No. Make that NO! If I'd known it was this much fun, I'd have done it sooner. Welcome to YOUR life.

I retired the first time 20 years ago. I am still a licensed Life & Health agent in MI but only for the clients I have had in my past 46 years in the business. I have done tour bus driving, school buses, travel, etc. I have retired from church organist & choir twice and still play occasionally. Once the pressure of the monthly goals was gone it has been a lot of fun.

Congradulations If you can afford to retire do it! ME I'll just be to danged old and have to quit! My Dad was retired for 20 years and loved every minute of it.
