I would say you're reaching the criteria in that he is considering storing it. I assume this means he'll still camp, but won't be mobile. Never easy to convince anyone they can't do something anymore,so all the better that he seems to be reaching that conclusion on his own. Be supportive and encouraging. Good luck!
