921 bulb low light replacement or 12v dimmer possible?

I find that the lights are much too bright at night when I just need to see enough to move around. What are compatible lights to the 921 socket that would put out less light or is there an easy way to...

For electric camping, we added a couple of blue LED plugin nightlights with plastic nautical shapes- lighthouse, sailboat, seashell.

They seem to be just right for night movements, including in the bathroom, so no instant sunlight when nature calls unexpectedly during the wee hours.

Won't help for boondocking, but they are only a buck at dollar store and we're on season 3 for a couple of them ;)
