Learn to text. It ain't that hard, and it's silent. And you get a chance to think about what you're going to say before you say it. Of course there are those who think texting is rude when you can just talk to someone.
Texting is not an option for everyone. DW's parents are close to 90 and have no idea how to and father can't read or write. What now?
