At present we head out 2 to 3 weekends a month April thru October to state parks where we hike, read and have a few drinks. We started years ago in a tent with kids progressed to a motorhome without kids, but soon again with kids and grands with their pop ups.
It gets us away from the big city, away from the chores at home, gets us some sanity time.
It really doesn't matter what others do, but geez why don't more people go to obedience classes with their dogs so they have a clue that dogs can be model campers too.
I'm glad you found your happy place, really I am. But please, I long for the days when free thinking was accepted rather than this group think ****. Camping, getting away is what we make it. You do your thing and we'll do ours. I respect you and hopefully you can respect my choices too. But understand what I/we do will be different, and that is ok!!
