Coach net is the only one I found that will tow a utility trailer such as a boat or car trailer. I tow and open flat deck trailer with a race car and that's who I use. It's their premium package. $149/yr worth it for piece of mind.

I've still got AAA premier RV even though we stopped towing. It does cover my boat trailer and I believe an ATV on an trailer. I don't think it'd cover a car or utility trailer as you stated, but that's interesting to note.
The main reason we keep the premier is the 200 mile tow option. With that, I can be at my campground 2 hours away from Minneapolis and have the ability to have a vehicle towed to a garage in the Twin Cities. - SoCalDesertRid1Explorer IIWhen my truck burned down on the highway while towing a boat, the wrecker towed the truck by it's front wheels, with the boat hitched to the truck. I raised my adjustable hitch ball height and the driver adjusted his wheel lift height so the boat trailer was level. There were no problems towing the boat.
- keymastrExplorerI would not want to be towed with the trailer or 5th wheel attached. Clearance issues from having the truck at an extreme angle could dig the hitch into the ground or cause the 5er to hit the bed sides.

JKaz - LaunchnRetrieveExplorerThese are all good points to consider and now I also need to check with State Farm to see what kind of towing coverage I might have with my auto insurance.
- SoCalDesertRid1Explorer IIA heavy duty wrecker can tow a pickup with the bumper pull or even fifth wheel trailer hitched to the pickup as normal. Whether or not AAA will pay for a heavy duty wrecker, is another story.
- nohurryExplorerI have Geico insurance with RV, and ERS coverage. If I need a tow, I let them know I have my trailer, and they bring two trucks. It's not much $ to add either, which is why I don't mess with AAA, GS, etc. Thankfully, I haven't needed it yet.
- corvettekentExplorerYou would be better off to put $120 cash in the glove box once a year. Then some time in the next ten years if you need a tow just pay cash.
- LaunchnRetrieveExplorerI guess I have some phone calls to make, AAA and Good Sam, and some detailed questions to ask tomorrow. Thanks.
- darsben1ExplorerIf the RV option is available in your area and you are in your home area then you should be fine. However, since AAA is not one club but many YMMV.
Many stories of people with AAA RV not getting service cause of the local clubs rule.
For example one club does not cover RV's at all. SO the service in that area may be substandard for a RV. Another AAA club will not allow inside dually to be changed so you have to be towed. There are even instances here where the Trailer was left at the side of the road because the tow truck happened to be a flatbed and could not hook up the fifth wheel to tow it.
