This video is NOT going to turn the overnight world of Walmart into a showering fiasco. Seriously folks, not one person on this thread has posted "Hey, that's a great idea! I'm gonna get me a set up like that and start showering at Walmart!"

Why?

1. Because an outdoor shower is nothing new. Folks have been using these camping, backpacking, etc. for years.

2. Because RVers aren't homeless looking for a way to handle their personal care needs while living in their cars.

3. Because the homeless are already doing stuff like this as a way to handle their personal care needs while living in their cars.*

Relax. This one guy is NOT destroying the Walmart camping experience for everyone. This one guy is NOT stealing your children's innocence. This one guy is NOT changing the way the world works. This one guy IS a guy with no money trying to post videos that catch the attention of viewers in order to make a few bucks.

*Whether you agree with it or not is beside the point. Homeless ARE doing it. But seriously folks, they are usually pretty good at doing it in inconspicuous times and places in order to not get busted. Getting mad at this guy isn't going to change that.

Well maybe not to you but taking a shower in the parking lot to Walmart is something new to me.

Yes, people have to stay clean but there are public showers or truck stops. There is a time and a place.

What you think this is the only guy living in a van at Walmart. I see them there all the time.

Read what I wrote again. I didn't say no one does this. I said, this guy posting his video is not changing anything. The folks living in their vans are ALREADY doing this sort of thing. The RVers are NOT going to start doing this sort of thing. It's doesn't change anything from what it was yesterday.

How many people on this thread have ACTUALLY EVER SEEN someone showering outside a Walmart other than this video?

Say what you want, but for me if I saw it, I would complain to Wal-Mart management, and law enforcement if needed.

Let them decide if it is wright or wrong. Cops know the laws, management of Wal-Mart know their policies.

The OP's post was not about homeless it was about a guy taking a shower in the parking lot of Walmart.

The purpose of the video is to educate on how you can take a shower while staying at Walmart. If not what was the point of posting a video?

I wonder if he was out in front of your business or house if you would tolerate it as you seem to do at Walmart?

Guess what.. NOT GRAY WATER

There are 4 different "Waters" in an RV (not counting engine coolant)

Fresh
Black
Gray and

WASH... Your shower drain is WASH

Wash Water is bathroom sinks (lav) Shower, Washing machine (IF present) But **NOT** the Kitchen Sink (Food particles)

GRAY is the Kitchen sink.. Of course on many RV's (not mine) thy all drain into the same tank so the was,meets the kitchen sink water, it becomes Gray..

But on my Rig the Shower, and the main bath Lavs (2) Drain into one tank
Washing machine is Non-Exist and I do now knwo where they routed that drain to but suspect Wash.

Kitchen and half bath lav drain into Gray

We all knwo what goes in Black.


IN MANY areas it is 100% legal to dump WASH water almost anywhere.

Some places you can dump Gray as well (Way fewer)

Black ALWAYS must be disposed of properly (Sewer/septic system).

NOTE I said MANY above.. I did not say ALL.

What he said was you should wait until dark to do this but he did it earlier so he could make the vid. Nobody here has ever pee'd on a tree, or had a hose mishap at the campground? Now thats a hazmat violation. Lighten up people, its walmart. Its a freakshow there anyway. And who wants to camp at walmart anyway? People have spent $100's of $1000's on their camp rigs and then cheap out on spending $30.00 for a campsite? Funny stuff!

I don't really care if he has his own hazmat recycling center in his van or if he showers at 2am or 2pm... A Walmart parking lot is not the place to do it.

Dumping your Gray,Wash water on the ground is not allowed in the County, State or National Park I have stayed at. I would assume most cities would frown on that as well..

this is bs and you know it have you ever seen what comes off your car do you know for sure what you have driven through around town on the highway off road in campgrounds no you don't and soap kills germs that's why they tell you to wash your hands after going to the restroom i would be more concerned about what comes off the car (ie: oil ,gas, cow poop, dog poop, decaying animals, bird poop just to name a few things) than what comes off a body.
