ac & water heater at same time?

I run both all the time at the seasonal on 30 amps. If I need to use any other major current draw Appliance (coffee maker or hair dryer) I shut the water heater off. I usually only turn the water heater on of a morning or of a evening anyway. By heating the water of a morning I usually have enough hot water for hand washing throughout the day. Turn it back on of a evening to wash dishes and take a shower.
