Hold on now. Some states like mine do not register our non commercial trucks at any weight numbers. The GVWR line on a non commercial truck is left blank.
Like my state trooper says "the department doesn't care what weight a non commercial vehicle has on the vehicles registration papers" for determining a trucks legal load limit"..... nor does the department use the truck makers GVWR for determining loads on the vehicles individual axle/tires.
Now if the truck has a commercial registration in my state then the truck will carry a GVW number on the registration papers...which is another topic.
