- larry_barnhartExplorerWe did when we bought the recliners. I liked them at first because both recliners would slide easy for traveling towards the side of the room. During a trip and not unhooking for the one night and the fifth high in the front the chair would not stay still. The way we kept both from turning when traveling was a ratchet strap under the base and up and over both arms. this worked great. My wife had replaced her recliner with a regular base and it really works better for her but not so easy to move to the wall.

I found this. Maybe you can screw/bolt something like this to your existing recliner. They have lots of other options also. This one adds a "rocker" and a swivel.
