Be careful when you set up that way and use the screws in the ground. Some cgs have rules about no screws or spikes as they have underground sprinklers.
The nicest thing for me is that when I set it up with the legs on the ground,I tend to run into the legs less. Even with all of our windsocks and thyingies on the awning legs,I seem to forget that they're sticking out from the wall and run into them.
A lot of the time,I only set it up with the front leg down and that way the rain function works better.
