The problem with wells is sediment. Every time it rains stuff filters down from the surface. Some places it is better like at the foot of mountains where there are sinks on top lots of leaf litter and lots of sand stone and limestone and so forth.
Our water tasted great but had some sediment and lime. Mama's former neighbors had us bring well waater every time we went to Mom and Dad's.
However if water from the well was in the hose the sun and the sediment got together and we had algae coat the walls of the hose. We had a one inch fire hose that was orange. I had a 10 hp three stage pump and big tank and ran 90lbs pressure great volume and pressure.
Installed the Westinghouse 10 inch filter and it cleared up the problems of sediment and some lime. Some lime is larger flakes, in suspension but aa whole lot can be in solution. We still ended up having to replace lower water heater elements often. But the showers and sink and sprayer and everything else did not have lime scale. they make 20 inch cannister which is simply the ten inch stretched. Have to buy them on line apparently. They have a ceramic with carbon block and silver, in filter but it is expensive, on line. Silver is important as it kills bacteria. The filter has a 1 micron absolute capability. I don't remember flow rates which is important but considerin two ten inc cannisters on this house or a twenty inch if I can find filters conveniently. i tried to change our fiter every month but it didn't make much change in pressure if I left it 2 months or 3. we have city water now and it is terrible. The water in the jacuzzi looks blue after just a few inches. I'm not sure what all is in it except for chlorine.
