All windows open in covered storage?

Are there any issues with leaving windows open, including the top vent when a rig is in covered storage (i.e. under a pole barn with side walls, which keeps rain from blowing in.) With the screens on the windows, insects shouldn't be a problem, and it should keep humidity on the inside from becoming an issue or causing damage.

  • You'll get lots of dust in there requiring a lot of cleaning.

  • Crack open a window at each end of the RV, and crack open any ceiling vents, and you will have no moisture problems.
  • Why would you want all the dust to come in? We just keep open our ceiling vents and have little dust. We store outdoors.
  • Unless there is a source of humidity inside the RV, it will always be close to or the same as the humidity in the barn whether the windows are open or not.

I keep my vents cracked and one window open a couple of inches.

If the building is clean and well enclosed it will probably not be an issue. Sometimes dust can be an issue in pole structures.
