Their are a lot of books about people who have lived aboard a sailboat and raised their kids. I read this one:

Some issues are the same, some are different.
My wife and I lived with 2 largish dogs and 3 kids (infants and 2 year old) in a RV for 6 months. However our work was outside of the RV and we stayed in one place (well we did a few weekends). Its an experience I will never forget and has a lot of good and a few bad memories (like waking dogs during tropical storm fay).
I say listen to the naysayers and make sure you have an answer. To me living in an RV means you need to build self reliance, much like living on a sailboat would. You must be able to fix things (I remember epoxying a cabinet door back together after the toddling twins decided to see how far they could open it), adapt to new situations (one of our dogs became very il and started $hi++ing everywhere when we were gone). No obstacles are insurmountable.
For example, for your DH's work, take the kids outside, use the library, club house or whatever when ever possible. Working from home is difficult, the home worker needs a reasonable schedule and time without interruptions to do their job. Or flip it around, perhaps he can work from the library.
