Amarillo, Texas

Hello all. We just passed through Amarillo Texas and were having problems with our refrigerator not cooling on gas while driving. We stopped in at Oasis RV resort and stayed over night, Their maintenance man told us about Rodfathers RV. A body shop for RV's but they also repair them too. So we called in and they told us to bring it over the next morning. We had our refrigerator repaired yesterday morning and the staff at Oasis and Rodfathers were very friendly and helpful. I told them all I was going to brag about them. So if your ever in Amarillo, stop in at Oasis and tell them Sharon and Tim from Wichita say hello!!!!!

Not the wron place Sharon, that is a different forum.

If you are going back through Amarillo, I would suggest stopping at Siesmore RVland. They have a neat RV museum there and it is worth the stop. Jack and his son Trent are really nice guys and showed us the new section of the museum that is still under construction and decoration. I am not recommending them for anything else because I didn't repairs, I just needed a replacement crank handle for my BatWing and they had them.

A nice side trip is PaloDuro Canyon thirteen miles south of Amarillo just east of Canyon Texas and the Panhandle, Plains Historical Museum in the center of Canyon. Really cute town with some really nice people. There is a campground at the off ramp for Canyon and I don't remember the name, not a lot of amenities but nice folks and good hookups.

I'll look up the name and edit the post in a few minutes.

  • I usually do business with Billy Mac, rv repair, but Billy sent me to RodFather's after I had hit a tree and did damage to roof. It would repair a complete roof as well as a little work on the upper side. Michael was very nice and determined quickly what it would take I did take a lot longer then he originally said but he did do a good job and very personal. Amarillo had had a huge hail storm, and as a result everybody was backed up with work. Thus repairs took awhile.
