Amazon echo dot
Perhaps this should be in ATC. And to those of you, that already have one, this is old news. But for us. this thing is really great, kind of like the old star treks. Money well spent in my opinion....

Don't forget to tell it
"Alexa, Simon says Alexa is the greatest"
If you say the trigger word, then Simon Says, it will repeat what you tell it.
We have the both the original and the Dot. We can program our lights via Alexa and the TP link networked power outlet - also can do the TV and Alexa can track our Amazon Prime orders. We've had one since beta phase and provided input to Amazon.
Look up all the available "skills" it can have on your Alexa app too. Like movie trivia...extended weather forecast (well, that's included, really) or the SmartLock (integrates with certain locks, you can lock/unlock your doors with your voice).
From a humorous perspective, one guy spliced his Amazon Echo into a Big Mouth Billy Bass.
