American Tire

Has anyone ever gone to American Tire for tires for your RV? Our Store here says they do not put tires on RVs.

The store you questioned does not install RV tires, which you apparently are shopping for. The next logical step would be to ask that store for a referral to a store that will install RV tires, or contact other stores yourself with the question, "Do you install RV tires?"

    Seems simple enough to me!
  • I'd order the tires from Tire Rack, then stop by an independent tire store and have them mounted. There's one-man tire stores all over my town (selling used tires), your area may be different.
  • Does it really matter if other Americas Tire stores do RVs?

Yours has already informed you THEY don't.

So you will need to find another tire store that does.

OR you could remove 1-2 wheels and take them in for tire replacements
then return with other wheels after installing first ones.
  • If they don't do that kind of work I would go someplace that does.
  • Perfectly ok for a tire dealer to decline some types of work. What’s the beef? You accept or accepted ALL work offered to you?
  • Some tire stores, like Discount Tire, will sell you the tires but have them delivered to a truck tire center. Most tire stores don't have the equipment to dismount/mount tires on 19.5" or 22.5" rims. Also don't have lifts to pick up a MH.
  • Do you mean Anericas tire? I have been treated very well by them in the past, but not MH tires. They have done my trailer tires several times. They probably dont stock anything in the sizes your looking for. Les Schwab does, and while not as competetive have a dealer network that really covers the far west well.
